Crochet Chic

Aloha lovelies!

July is here. It’s such an awkward season, you know. And my biggest dilemma is whether I should stick to my summer wardrobe or embrace the fall/winter trends with a fervor.
In the meanwhile, here’s a classic that never goes out of style. I’ve been lusting after lace, net and crochet for a long time now. I had one look at this one and I thought, ‘This is what crochet dreams are made of.’
While pumps would be the ideal choice of footwear for this gorgeous little thing, I wanted to give it a slightly androgynous edge. That’s where the hat and the booties came from!
Hope you like the look, ladies and gentlemen!

Colour Blocking and Polka Dots

Hello fashionistas!

This season has witnessed a fair amount of trends-some new, some old school.
What have been your favorite trends?
This post will displays two of the season’s fabulous trends.

Colour Blocking and Polka Dots:

1.      Colour Blocked Ensemble

Colour Blocked

This season, colour blocking has gained immense popularity.

-This outfit has blocks of green, yellow, blue- all bright, solid colours.
-Monochrome is so last year. This year it’s all about experimenting and playing with colours.
-And this outfit does complete justice to it, right?

Colour Blocked

The back of a dress should be as pretty as the front, if not more.

-This dress is your perfect option for a day out/ night out.
-Team it with nude heels and minimal accessories like I have above, for a day look.
-Or go for a classy look with a white sling and some pretty white peep-toes for a night look.
-Keep your accessories minimal because you don’t wanna let them take away from the dress.
-The colours are meant to be showed off, so do so in style ! =)

2. Polka dots! Yes, we love em! And they’re here to stay as long as there is chic fashion.

Here is our version of a mix of chic and cute. A hint of pink ups the style quotient, what say?

LWD

The LWD (little white dress) has been long overshadowed by it’s more elegant (albeit sometimes done to death) counterpart, the LBD (little black dress). However this summer  it finally gets it’s day in the sun with these chic picks from FCUK. While Audrey Hepburn might have championed the cause of the LBD the world over, the LWD was made famous by Marylin Monroe in that now infamous scene in ‘The Seven Year Itch’.

So take a cue from her, and channel your inner siren in a no fuss, stark LWD, which is bang on trend with Spring Summer’s Sicilian white obsession.

Love for the Little Dresses

The lil dresses make a comeback-An Ode to the Fashion Goddess.

Our latest obsession is the idea of emulating our favorite designers and the goddess of fashion-COCO CHANEL tops our list! This post is our rendition of the popular classic LBD and the modern day LWD. We decided to keep it simple, fresh and as minimal as possible.

Dresses that are a must in every girl’s wardrobe and looks that will take you from the simple girl-next-door to a glam star. These looks are classic and chic and should be on your check-list for the must-haves in your wardrobe.

Simin’s look – A polka dotted Little Black Dress.

Polka dots are never out of fashion. Personally, I love how cute and girly
this dress is but I chose to make this an edgy ensemble.
